A Plus Code (Open Location Code) is a short address for any point on the globe: 8FVC9G8F+6W designates a square about 14 m wide. It is often shortened by dropping the first 4 characters and adding a town: 9G8F+6W Zurich. To complete it, you need a reference town within about 50 km.

Position → Plus Code

In real life: plus.codes, Google Maps (codes can be pasted straight into the search box). Rescuers and NGOs use them where there is no postal address. The classic trap: completing a short code with the wrong town.
